January 18th
Just about 5 days to go before we leave for Ireland...I refuse to listen to the reports of a weekend storm.
As a sign of definance, I packed this morning. I promised myself that I would pack light and I did.
Ireland is very casual
so it was fairly easy.
Leggings, jeans, sweaters, all weather boots and just one nice outfit for Dromoland Castle dinner.
Oh yes, Dromoland
. Every Ireland trip should include a castle stay. Some are grander than others, but they are all
steeped in history.
I have chosen Dromoland...very grand, but it's off season and the price was perfect. Dromoland is
not far from Galway and therefore works perfectly into our itinerary.

Speaking of our Itinerary, it is just about complete. We arrive in Dublin on Sunday, 24th of January at 5am,
We're picking up the rental car and driving to Dublin. Easier said than done, but John has driven in the UK, before.
Staying a day and night in Dublin then more at the end of our trip.

January 25th: Leave Dublin as early as possible and begin the drive to Killarney, about 3 hours away.
I will blog details of sightseeing and our adventures along the way each day.

January 26th and 27th Killarney-full day tour with Tours By Locals Guide, Mary, on 26th, and a half day tour with
her on the 27th. She'll do the driving so Ireland is saved from us being on the road for two days.

January, 27th Leisurely drive out of Killarney, hoping to see Cliffs of Moher on the way to DROMOLAND CASTLE stay.
I'm am so looking forward to this and dinner in the Earl of Thomand restaurant.

January 28th Galway
January 29th Back to Dublin to finish what we started on the 24th.
January 30th Belfast all day tour
January 3st. Depart for home.

I welcome your comments and suggestions along the journey.

Thanks for following,
Linda
